Who Is Eligible For a Card?
Anyone who resides in, is employed, or owns property in Johnson County, and/or enrolled in Johnson County schools (K-12). The Original card is free, any replacements will cost $1.

New Patrons
New patrons may check out one book only on first visit. After the return of the first book, a patron may have up to 5 items checked out on their card at one time.

For patrons 17 and under, a parental signature is necessary to obtain a card.

Video's and DVDs may only be checked out on adult cards, 2 at a time. No videos may be checked out on a juvenile's library card.

Please remember that library cards are a privilege and reserve the right to be revoked from irresponsible patrons. If a patron has outstanding fines, damage fees, and/or replacement costs for library material, that is considered to be unsuitable behavior in our library and the patron is in danger of loosing their card.

DVDs/VHS

Loan Periods
Books, Cds and tapes may be checked out for two weeks.

DVDs and VHS may be checked out for two days.

Reference Material may not be checked out with the exception of encyclopedias which may be check out overnight.

Overdue Fines
Books = $0.05 per day
Audio Cds/Tapes = $0.25 per day
DVDs/VHS = $2.00 per day

A two week renewal is granted if requested. renewals may be done by phone or computer*.
